It is my joyful new normal writing this post with a baby boy in my arms! A lot has changed in our world – genuinely for the better! I hope you’ll understand why it’s been awhile since I’ve given this blog attention 😉 I hope to change that in the coming months!
What better way to kick off 2018 wedding season than with Mike & Maura! You may remember them from their engagement session last year. We had so much fun exploring the cherry blossoms and monuments in Washington, DC and walking the cobblestone streets of Old Town, Alexandria.
Mike & Maura were joyfully married last weekend at the beautiful St. James Roman Catholic Church, with an evening celebration at Laurita Winery in New Egypt, New Jersey. Their day was filled with so much joy and laughter as friends and family traveled from near and far to see these two begin the next chapter of their love story. It was honestly one of those – cross your fingers it doesn’t rain during portraits – kind of days. But luckily, it turned out to be a perfect cloudy day with a fun evening thunderstorm as the couple danced the night away.
Sometimes the energy of a couple truly makes those long wedding days a walk in the park. In this case, Mike & Maura’s wedding was a ‘walk in Asbury Park’! Walking the scenic boardwalk with vintage buildings was so unique and personally special to this sweet couple. It was also a treat being a part of a wedding celebration that included so much dancing (you’ll see!), personality (don’t miss the “urinal” picture!), and genuine love (cue the tears watching Mike’s expression as his beautiful bride walked down the aisle). I hope these images portray the love shared between these two, the warmth reflected in those that surrounded them, and the fun that was had by all!
Special thanks to my wonderful husband, Matt, for helping me capture the day. And also to these fantastic vendors!
