Some stories are just meant to be told in chapters, and that’s the beauty of booking a Maternity & Newborn Package. For this sweet family, the journey to welcoming twin boys began with an early summer maternity session at one of my favorite spots near the Washington Monument.

This tucked-away corner of the city is a hidden gem: willow trees draping into the water, ducks floating across the pond, and a wide stretch of green grass with the monument rising behind it. It’s quiet, serene, and perfect for celebrating the anticipation of two little ones on the way.

Just weeks later, I had the honor of stepping into their home for the next chapter: an in-home newborn session with their baby boys. Each one was lovingly given a “color” (green and blue!) to keep track of who’s who in the blur of newborn days. Their nursery, decorated with a playful Noah’s Ark theme, was the perfect backdrop for documenting these first days together.

We spent time capturing the twins both individually and side by side, as well as those meaningful one-on-one moments with each parent. The photos tell the story of not just two new lives, but of a family’s love expanding in every direction.
