From Firstborn to Party of Five | A Newborn Session Roundup Through the Years

One of the greatest joys of being a family photographer is getting to walk alongside a family as they grow—and this sweet crew holds such a special place in my heart. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of photographing all three of their newborn sessions, and each one is a beautiful reminder of how much love and life can blossom in a home.

From the very beginning, their loyal golden retriever has been a gentle, watchful presence—appearing in every session like the honorary sibling we all wish we had. And one of my favorite details? A soft, heart-shaped blanket that’s been lovingly used in each newborn shoot. It’s those kinds of little consistencies that make these milestone moments feel even more meaningful.

With their firstborn, we focused on quiet, cozy moments in the nursery—with Grandma there to share in the joy. For baby number two, we expanded outside, capturing both the nursery and a few sweet shots in the backyard. And for their third, we documented the full rhythm of life with three: older siblings sharing ice cream, parents looking on with that familiar mix of love and awe, and baby nestled into it all.
